This impressive cuckoo clock is a beautiful and lovingly crafted piece, with very detailed carvings of oak leaves and squirrels. Deep in the forest, an elk lets loose his mighty call and disturbs a hawk in the high oak trees. This incredible carving includes details which seem to multiply with each inspection of its detail. There are pine trees, oak leaves, and pine boughs. One can almost see individual feathers on the hawk's wings.

This clock is hand made in the Black Forest in Germany. The mechanical brass movement is driven by two weights and time escapes with the tick of a traditional pendulum. The cuckoo call sound is made by two wooden whistles with bellows inside the clock case.

Even the packaging has old-world charm, as only paper is used. The factory packing is all made with renewable materials. This clock makes a great gift for the young and old alike. Perfect for any lover of the outdoors.
